Name all the players who have been allocated the #8 and/or #10 squad number during 23 years of Super League. This is a bit of a strange one as clubs generally have 6 out-and-out props in their squad (2 starting, 2 subbing and 2 injured ) This is where squad numbers start to become meaningless. Being #10 doesn't mean you will start every game. The only inference is that, at the start of the season, the coach envisaged those given #8 and #10 to be their first choice props. We have obvious exceptions. What is the difference between 8 and 10 these days anyway? left and right side? Anyway, for what it's worth, this week we're looking for all players who have worn the #8 or #10 shirt for Trinity in the SL era. There are a total of 23 players who have held a 'starting prop' squad number.(15 #8s and 12 #10s)* * my arithmetic has not gone wappy - 4 players have had the #8 and #10 shirt. Bonus question: who are the 4 players who have worn both the #8 and #10 shirt? |
