I know our Academy were in action tonight, but neither Gledhill, Bulls, or Trinity have done any game commentary/updates on Twitter.

Does anyone know how it unfolded?

If you follow twitter, the Salford feed from their fans meeting tonight is stunning.

They have not paid their full rent once, due to never earning enough.

They are desperately looking for a new ground because their rent will go up further in 2023.

Their business plan budgeted for an average attendance of 8000.

Their actual average attendance at the new ground has been just over 3000.

It does not look good.

Yeah saw some of that, that are in a big hole right now. When they moved from the Willows they arranged a rent holiday whilst they got established but kept having to extend it. Even a change of ownership didn’t help. Koucash for all his bravado left them right in the brown stuff. A chunk of debt, over-payed average players on extended contracts and he shut the academy. And also pee’d off most of the fans by trying to move them to Liverpool! They’ve done well to last this long to be honest but if they can’t sort the stadium issue out then it could be curtains.

Unsurprisingly Gledhill is having a whinge about the ref correctly ruling out a try because he'd already awarded it which apparently he can not do. It's an Academy game FFS.

Yes, just had a look at the Salford Twitter thread apparently. sale Sharks won’t bid for the stadium until Salford find another venue to play, or agree to pay market rent, which for various reasons Salford can’t afford, discussing moving out of the city, other options available, but it’s a situation we ourselves have faced on more than one occasion. Sad times for any club.
