Wakefield chief executive Michael Carter has been fined £2,000, with £750 suspended until the end of next year. Carter released a statement on July 14, criticising 'random charges' and stating appealing decisions was pointless because “it’s impossible to win an appeal unless you’ve enough evidence to free Ronnie Biggs”.
Leeds Rhinos head coach Richard Agar has been hit with a fine for comments made about the RFL's match review panel.

Agar received a compliance letter after commenting on a ban received by Alex Mellor in the club's fiery victory over Salford Red Devils in June.

The Rhinos chief had insisted that Mellor had received a fair hearing after being charged for making contact with a match official.

But he pointed out that the panel included two former Leigh players, who the Rhinos were playing the week after. Mellor's appeal ultimately failed and he was forced to miss the game.

Catalans' Alex Chan has received a £500 fine, half suspended, for comments he made following Carter's statement.

An RFL statement said: “The RFL works constantly with clubs on the efficacy of the game’s disciplinary procedures. Those procedures include the right of appeal, and the opportunity for internal feedback

I totally agree what he said but you knew this was coming the RFL are village idiots, completely detached from what’s going on in our game.

With all that's going on, with dodgy postponements and lots of clubs now seemingly "playing the system", perhaps its time to join them.
I agree with Carter's comments but, he was always going to get into trouble but, I assume that he knew that.
Sometimes it's worth it.

I am in support with Carter on this issue of speaking out - an opinion. I have said before, we all live in a country, in law, enabled to speak freely in a democracy, we are not " Bellarouse ".
The moment we stop free speech we are not a democracy !!
However, I do not agree with any abusive comments, personal comments especially derogatory comments & finds should follow it proven.
With regard to bringing the game into disrepute, this also applies to organizations (RFL) miss using power no matter what is said
Especially when any & all appeals are batted away, that is dictatorship, similar to ( bellarous ) behaviour.

The RFL are a laughing stock and have no credibility what so ever, the latest regime has literally run the game in to the ground
The disciplinary panel are an even bigger joke

Michael was absolutely right in everything he said about them and the situation

It’s a disgrace he’s being fined for having an opinion

I thoroughly detest the whole RL management set up and their draconian ways. A certain Austrian with a small tash and strange haircut started out in much the same way as they operate. They're doing the best to ruin the game with their fortnightly rule changes. freebie sponsorship deals and jobs for the boys ideologies. We need a wholesale clear out.
