Looking at the table now, I see two teams more upset than we are!!!!
The games we’ve played so far we have won the one we had to.
On the whole I think we will get there by the end of the year but Leeds and Cas lol hope they keep this up all year

I to think we will end up doing ok this season.

Leeds can buy there way out of trouble.

Cas are more interesting. You used to get one player teams but in the case of Cas it was a one coach team in my opinion. In all the years since Cas have had the upper hand on us ie the Powell years I rarely looked at there squad and saw that many exceptional players. No more than us to be honest.

However Powell’s ability to mould them into a formidable unit was exceptional. Radford I don’t think has that gift.

However before we get excited I don’t see this as a win for us, or not in the short term anyway.

There will be enough residual knowledge and desire in the current Cas team to give us a game. Whilst Poching will have to work some magic to get our lads to play like men and not frightened schoolboys when playing them.

If we can’t conquer our phobia of this very ordinary team then we will gift them safety if not more.

I think Leeds have bought themselves into trouble so far! It does tend to go into blocks of games for some clubs, apart from Saints obviously, it's hard for teams to win say more than 4 out of 5 the way the fixtures pan out in a 12 team league. The next 6 or 7 are interesting for us, and may give some indication what the rest of the season holds in store, and beyond under WP. We have had a hard start, we have used 24 players I think already, different halfbacks every game etc, it doesn't help. Hopefully we can have a settled 17-19 to pick from in the next few weeks and see where we are. I agree with you re. Radford, if I was a Cas fan i'd have been massively underwhelmed by his replacement of Powell. It is about time we won against them, surely law of averages and all that......?!

Looking at the table for me our defence stands out bearing who we have played. Other than 40 minutes against Leeds we look much better defensively. Our attack still seems a bit blunt but I am happy with the defence so far. As time goes on and some styled positions I think the attack will improve

There's a rumour circulating that Agar has lost the changing room big style and is on his way out this week to be replaced by Webster and Ferris...time will tell !!

He won't be kicked out. He'll move upstairs which was his original job.
He didn't actually want the coaching job.

Well looking at all the games played this weekend Apart from that Leeds half we’ve competed against some of the best whilst some big names have fallen short ,especially the Wigan score which stood out for me not by the loss but the scoreline, having said that Toulouse gave them as good as they got . Another tough ask this weekend then hopefully start to chomp away at the supposed teams lower down ,with hopefully a full compliment of players at our disposal ,and dare I say a good cup run to boot .

No matter how bad Leeds start a season, they always seem to be there or thereabouts at the end. During that awful season a few years ago under McDermot didn't they manage to win the Challenge Cup? Just one of the reasons that they are so disliked. Here's hoping that the miserable start to their season continues.

Think Leeds always have a decent squad on paper ,with players at their disposal we can but dream about ,but they don’t always click ,as we are seeing now with their half backs . But that quality nearly always eventually gets them out of the do do . They are at times merciless when it come to coaching ,you’ve only to look at Furner’s short tenure ,and I don’t think Hetherington will lose sleep if Agar gets the thumbs down if things carry on much longer , A lesson we could have learned from perhaps in the not too distant past .

I think they actually won SL one such year after a terrible start but maybe I'm wrong such is my lack of interest in other clubs.
