Other than I d have Henry Paul in for Neil Fox (who I never actually saw play) couldn’t argue with that ten, although David Fifita or Willie poaching might just have edged Trevor Skerret out purely for entertainment value.
Sadly we never seemed to be able to hang onto or keep most of the players fit for one reason or another.
Bill Ashurst for me scored the best try ever at Bellevue but sadly his knees were shot when he came to us.
Ray Price had been retired for two years and was I think about 36 when he played for us but still the best defensive forward I ve seen in the red white and blue.
David Solomona was I think the complete ball handling running forward his partnership with Sid domic was a joy to watch and it was a shame when he left us for Bradford.
In the 40 plus years I’ve been watching them sadly it’s the individual players and their brilliance that have kept me coming back rather than any sustained achievement by the club.
If this is Tom and Dave’s last season with us at the moment it’s hard to see where that individual spark is going to come from But I ve been saying that since I was a teenager lol
