IMG Announce Proposed Criteria for Super League 2025 IMG today presented to the RFL Council the recommended grading criteria to define how Super League, RFL Championship and League One clubs will be assessed starting from 2025, as part of the Reimagining Rugby League plans.
Based on a combination of on and off-field variables, the proposed grading criteria are designed to collectively increase clubs' fanbases, diversify revenues, drive investment into clubs and the sport in a sustainable manner, run clubs in a best-in-class way and ensure strong governance is in place.

It’s stunning that player development has been overlooked but I personally believe there is a push for York so I think that is the reason for that.
Super League days are numbered/unattainable under that criteria for 2 of us, Cas and Fev.
If Cas pull their finger out and actually get started on a stadium prior to the adjudication I think we are in big trouble.
cas beat us anyway. ground is only 15% and they own theirs without a mortgage so not that far behind on that. They smash us on crowds and past performance.

Stadium we are ahead on, finances we are ahead on and catchment we are ahead on.
I really don’t think it’s as cut and dried as you think.
We will get b cos of ground works and fianancial stability (only team to make profit) but will struggle on other aspects.
By the time the actual gradings are done we'll be using the next set of financials that will, according to MC, previously show us making a significant loss. And whilst the new stand should make us money it won't happen overnight, it will take time to build up that revenue generation and even longer for it to show on the balance sheet. It's also worth baring in mind there's a £3million loan sat on the negative side balance sheet as well. The stadium weighting is important but isn't as high as i'd hoped and expected. Ridiculously with a relatively small amount of ground investment (big screen, fan zone, floodlights etc) they wouldn't be far behind us scoring wise.
One thing for sure given the importance given to on field performance then relegation this year would be a major problem.

“Look over there while we pick who we want to be in SL”. As suspected, the criteria is vague enough to make square pegs fit in round holes when it suits & leaves more questions than it answers. My advice to fans is not to get drawn into measuring contests. It’s so subjective & open to interpretation that the only thing it will do is cause upset.
