Cannon ball tackles permitted now? What did Atoni do? Gulity of not suffering from a career threatening injury?

I thought Atoni had a very good game against Catalan and got stuck in. I think it was that tackle Infront of the boxes well into the second half. Great cover tackle and smashed the player. Looked legal to me so did the one Esse got a yellow for. The clown reffing just seemed to want to penalise us for every tackle that their players purported to be injured, irrespective of legality.

You’re certainly right about the referee.
He was a total clown intimidated by Tomkins mouthing to him all the game.
Some of his decisions I just did not understand.
He robbed us of at least one if not two tries.

I don't know what the championship refs are like, but I will be glad to see the back of Kendell, Jack Smith and Aaron Moore.

Some say they are even worse in that league but I am not too sure. You are right about Tomkins too, him and others seem to control many of the SL refs as if they were their puppets.

Having spent the last 3 seasons watching L1 and championship games every week, you will be horrified at the standard of refereeing and linesman, plus there are no in goal judges so plenty gets missed/made up, the amount of tries chalked off because the time the ref gets to where the player has scored, they are held up, I reckon it’s at least one every game.

Just the same as SL then, because touch judges are still poor and Kendell is the world's master at getting things missed and making things up

It’s not the same, it’s far far worse. Fortunately the decisions don’t usually effect the end result, but the standards are terrible, at least the fines are smaller and less cases find their way to the panel :thumb:

Re: Disciplinary : Mon Sep 11, 2023 11:17 pm
Rediculous that we lost Eseh and it shouldn’t have even been penalty let alone a card. Shocking officiating tbh.

As for Atoni. It’s a joke if it was that tackle in second half as it looked a good strong dominant tackle.

Whether the one vs Atoni was above the knee or not it was a cowardly tackle from the side while he was stood up. I thought the outlawed that.
