Fartown is our nickname just like some of your fans still refer to Trinity, even though someone thought the Wildcats was a good idea. When it's been a part of your life for so long you just got keep it going.
As someone mentioned rivals, traditionally Fax are Hudds rivals. When we play it's usually called the infirmary cup game even when it's a league game. Were not often in the same division tho.
And to the Wakey fans supporting the Giants, thank you. This is the challenge cup. Only the most one eyed Giants fan wouldn't support Wakey in the final against another county. The league is forgotten about for a day.
Dammit, its fans like you who make me want to change my mind about Huddersfield. But then every time I do another numpty comes along (Marsden has been quiet for a while - is he banned?).
Anyway, I hope you and every other decent Hudds fan have a great day out at Wembley, your team have done very well this season (although really, just two wins better than us
) and the future does look good for you. If you play to your best then you're likely to steamroller Warrington and despite the arrogant idiots in your supporters I will enjoy watching it, as I enjoyed the good rugby you played in the semi.
But I'll be cheering on the Wire, as the few numpties you have in your supporters are unfortunately so vociferous they make me forget yorkshire/lancashire rivalry. I genuinely admire what you've achieved this season, and am not jealous since we're also heading in the right direction.
I guess my rant basically equates to "well done to the Huddersfield club and genuine suporters on their excellent achievements this season, and well done to the idiots within the supporters for making many people hate them"
