Good luck, your in good hands at LGI, my old man had heart surgery there about 3 years ago and hes in great shape (he's still an old git though).
I'm not religious but I'll gladly say a few words for the little fella, before I turn in tonight.

Just reading your post whilst lying in a hospital next to my 4 year old who was brought in earlier today. Thankfully it is only precautionary and we should be back out tomorrow. I can only imagine what you're going through,you have my deepest sympathies and my very best wishes. Hope all goes well for him.

Can't comprehend how you can deal with this, the bravery of parents and children in situations like this is beyond compare, be strong little man and battle like a dreadnaught. Good luck sir, I hope and prey that everything go's well for you and all your family.
