the Claret And Gold Machine is ready to roll

sunday September 1st 2013, when a dream became a reality!!

Re: Club statement : Tue Aug 18, 2015 11:35 am
all well and good but how many times has the club had to release these statements?
it's clearly not working.

these problems only seem to have come to light since the roof was put on the north stand, although we've always had problems down the side with the odd few numpties i don't remember anything particularly unsavoury as has been the case for the last few years.

What would a Cockney know about rugby league?

I was in the ground from 1PM there stewards all over the place, when I went round from the East stand to the pie stall on the North West corner at approx 2pm there was a line of three stewards on the North West Corner as fans were coming in from the turnstiles.

ALL away fans know the North stand is our "home/vocal" end.Do we congregate in the southstand or Weldon road end NO!!! Because
we respect it is there "end".

Bradford clearly made a point of turning up on mass to occupy the North stand, were we not then supposed to go in there ourselves.

With our ever dwindling support the club and players need us to be heard, not the away fans.

Exactly if I went in the Hull KR hull Leeds wire cas stand I'd watch what I said or expected abuse it's always been the case. Some fans nowadays have no common sense or lead a very sheltered life.

He'll probably had his nose in his phone and not noticed them, but offered the interesting theory that they only get paid from ten to three onwards, sad really if true

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

Re: Club statement : Tue Aug 18, 2015 11:59 am
I must go to games with my eyes and ears shut I think, or perhaps because I'm more interested in the product on the field I just don't pay much attention to what is going on in the crowd.
I have seen the mention of racial comments, this is the first mention I have noticed of anything other than verbals. I didn't hear or see either to be honest. I don't doubt it happened but I also suspect it was no worse than goes on at every other ground either.
We stood down in the SouthWest corner in the first half and actually enjoyed a chat with some Bradford fans who were stood down there.
In the 2nd half I was stood behind the sticks in the North Stand and there were 3 or 4 Bradford fans directly in front of us that seemed determined to whinge and moan about anything our fans said (even just cheering when our boys scored), which I suspect was brought on by the fact that the party they were expecting just didn't happen for them.
I'm not in any way condoning bad behaviour or comments as I do think some of the chants get out of hand but I suspect that had Bradford been beating us there would be a damn sight less complaints being raised, and actually if you wanted to you could find fault and report fans of every club to stewards.
As I said I must be walking around with my eyes closed if it is much worse at Wakey than anywhere else.

The Bradford chanting something about "you're all one family" was the first "insulting" chant that was made and the Bulls fans said that this is a regular feature from their fans.
There was some chanting from the Wakefield fans incorporating the F word, followed by "wakefields a sh*t hole" from the Bulls fans.

The game doesn't need this but, the Bulls fans near us, who were getting quite excited towards some of the stewards were "incensed" by the "f word" chanting

It seemed like six of one and half a dozen of the other from where we were and it would have been interesting if they would have been so upset had the score been reversed.

Personally, I don't like the chants with the F word in but, you hear plenty of this at different games (doesn't make it right of course)

None of the problem are of course caused by away fans giddy at the freedom on offer. My experience is that a large number of away fans are abusive and hammered - far more so than the home fans, but hey.

Of course none of this applies to Huddersfield fans because of course there are none.

Re: Club statement : Tue Aug 18, 2015 12:09 pm
As for segregation and stewarding then either we do it properly or we don't do it at all in my opinion. The half hearted way that we seem to try and implement it causes more trouble than it solves.
I tried to enter by the turnstiles on the Western Terrace but was directed to the North Stand entrance instead. Now I have no problem with that, but why then do we allow the away fans to also enter via the North Stand entrances and not redirect them in the same way to the Western Terrace entrances.
Trying to move people once they're in just causes them to put their foot down and refuse to budge, that then causes issues.

I don't like segregation, I like to be able to have a laugh and a chat with opposition fans as I have done for years but if we feel it needs to be done, then do it properly. Issue away fans with Western Terrace tickets only, clearly identify on the entrances that North Stand entrance is for the North Stand only which is for Home fans, West Stand entrance is for Away fans. You won't catch everyone as some turn up not in club colours but you would certainly keep the majority of the groups separated.

so it's not wakey fans causing the problems it's the away fans? what about the other week when wakefield "fans" assaulted stewards at Huddersfield nope that wasn't wakey fans either.
open you eyes your club has a problem with a minority of idiotic "fans" who aren't very pleasant, whether you like it or not

and i won't mention the massive support you lot enjoy

Sounds like a case of Bradford fans giving it but not been able to take it. How can anyone from Bradford say anywhere else is a sh1thole, proves they're deluded.
