I actually do think that helped - not the main reason but contributory.

What would a Cockney know about rugby league?

Re: Remaining games : Mon May 29, 2017 8:05 am
Looking where we are now we've got most of our squad for, touch wood and those who have stepped in to fill big gaps this year and have worked out. Win today and it gives us a great platform to look for 4 more wins and possibly top four at the split. After that who knows but we can hold our own against most sides and I'd like to think we'll keep progressing and give Cas a game in July.

My cynical mindset had us for bottom four but comfortably staying up at the start of the year but we've really kicked on. There's been winners and losers squad wise - really didn't see Grix being potential player of the year and Max Jowitt out in the cold, improvements to the squad will see some previous good performers go at the end of the year but we can't be sentimental about it if we are going to keep moving on. Then crowds just need to come back and who knows where we can end up

For us to finish in the top 8 would be a fantastic achievement for the board, the coaches and players. Its looking very good for a top 8 finish. Every professional pundit tipped us for the bottom 4 , most fans from all clubs including Trinity fans tipped us for bottom 4, I tipped us for bottom 2. Looking at my pre season tips Wakey and Warringtom are the teams that I got very wrong and Leigh have not done as well as I thought. If coach of the season was chosen now Chester should win it, Powell would get many votes but Cas at the top is not a surprise.
I think that the players mindset may be different this season, last year it was a massive relief to make the 8 and we just switched off plus injuries played a part. This season once and if the top 8 finish is certain then I think the players will want to kick on and get better. I also think that with the strength in depth we can handle a cup run and injuries better.
I also think that we can get better this season so any result is possible. Great times

I'd go with that. We'll win games we can only dream of winning and blow the 'easier' games. This is Wakefield after all!

That is usually the case but you could argue the only game we have 'blown' this season was Hudds away, and even then it hasn't been a happy hunting ground over the last 10 years has it?

I think this team are pretty special TBH.

I was meaning with regards to game's we genuinely expect to win. Warrington away isn't a game we would
usually expect to win.

We blew it in the sense of threw it away but not in the sense of lost when we expected to win.
If you get me?

Tough set of fixtures coming up now - I know we have the ability and mentality to get some good results but gonna be a tough ask to mine many points from this lot...

Wigan (a)
Salford (a)
Leeds (h)
Hull (a)
Wire (h)
Cas (h)
Widnes (a)
Saints (h)

They will all be tough games, but if we can beat Leeds, Wire and Saints at home, then we only need say Widnes away and our usual 2 points from the KC and we could be looking at top 4!

Usual? When was the last time you won at the KC 2014?

Saying that with out home form, that could change this year.

No Belly that was just you, I'm not having you weadle your way out of it that easy.

You were the one who didn't have the guts to back your own team and had a Cas love in instead, most of the rest of us were quite optimistic and didn't get the negativity.

Pathetic effort Mr Belly. What it does highlight is what a poor judge of players you are :SUBMISSION:
