is it time to move on? we are going to have to start all over again to get a stadium built and its going to be to late it wont be built if ever for years...

Lets put all our effort now into bell vue -its our only hope of staying in wakefield.

now I don't have any answers on how to do this but we have to try somehow to get the old girl renovated...

there are so many building companies in Sydney now a days - lets get them over there !! they get things built!! any help you need don't hesitate to ask Daddy Cool.
I've no objection if you could fund my house extension, while your at it, it would be nice to have a conservatory to the back and a new shed, bigger the better,
I'll let you play in the garden for a nominal rent

It is indeed time to move on, but it's moving on FROM Belle Vue not TO it.

A stadium just off Neil fox way would be nice lol

Don't think that there would be any point in attending Wednesdays meeting as the plight of the cities only professional sports team is not on the agenda. There is a report that has been wrote by the councillor in charge of culture, leisure & sport but unsurprisingly the club does not get a mention. :WALL:

Surely that is the best reason to attend and ask why it isn't?

If it's the same as last time you aren't allowed to speak at all in the public gallery and if you do you are removed.

I can understand why as nothing would get said, saying that there needs to be an opposition, sat with arms crossed and looking angry isn't going to work

Link on website doesn't work for me. Twitter just says "Cllr Box says the Council is very clear the new stadium would be a community stadium for the benefit of all." and "Cllr Box says the new community stadium in #wakefield would be run by the trust for benefit of all residents."

Did he say anything about funding etc. or just more sound bites?

Started by saying council has wrote to the developer to tell them to get their act together (as if they would)
Council will only work with the existing trust and he has notified those that have set up the new one to come on board and join forces
He has met with the new owner of the stadium & MC and the owner has given a commitment that the club can continue to play at Belle Vue in the interim if they can get a plan in place for a new stadium
One new thing he mentioned was that the stadium owner is interested in investing money in a new stadium at least that's how I interpreted what he said - if anyone else could confirm this??
He also confirmed that the council would look at putting funding into a community stadium to the tune of the previous amount offered
He said that in his absence next week his deputy would be involved in further meetings
