Thought we got it so badly wrong today.
I think that we could afford to lose by 14 and still end in the top four,
but a win would have given us a top 4 finish.

Coaches and players have to take a look at themselves today.

Players did not look up for it, did they not realise they could finish outside
the top four? There seemed to be no hunger and we were completely outmuscled
and failed to meet the enthusiasm of Saints.

Coaches were ineffective in overcoming Saints tactics where their centres and wings
were far too quick into our line to stop the ball getting out wide. Aided by our slow
passing, their forwards dominated ours and were faster in speed and thinking.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but mistakes were made playing Hasson and Lynn who clearly
were not fit. Grix looked a shadow of his early season form and Jowitt should have played to
inject some pace into a game that we should be have been set up as an attacking force.

So disappointed to lose today but angry to lose our points differential after Salford handed us a
top four spot after losing at Leigh on Friday.

I bet Michael Carter is also upset at losing the extra home game too.

Been a bad week this, lets hope there is some good news about the ground before the 31st July
deadline with the RFL.[/quote

Sorry, but you're bordering on being ridiculous! Yes disappointing, but for me Saints are the best team I've seen at home this season. I doubt we'd have won if Jowitt was playing, likewise if Hasson and Lyne not?!! You talk about Salford, i'd have been more worried/disappointed if we had been playing Leigh this weekend and had been nilled by them! It's been an amazing season whatever happens from now on in, all you can ask for is progress from the previous season, like someone else has mentioned, Cas are the blueprint for progress, let's just hope we have a bloody ground to play at eh........

Saints were very good today, far too quick for us around the ptb and we ran out of steam.

Very disappointing for us, but we just couldn't handle them.

Was Annakin injured? I'd rather have him play then Hassan.

Not sure if it would have changed the result but Grix has had some stinkers recently. I'd too like to know what Jowitt has done so wrong. I'd expect him to feature heavily in the next 7 games or questions have to be asked if Jowitt will be with us much longer.
Give Grix a rest because he's had a good season overall and what's the point in destroying that when we have fresh Rookie of the year legs raring to go.

This. Grix is one of the main reasons we are so far up the league, but he looks tired.

Get Max in for a couple of games.

Some people need to look at the money spent on our squad compared to other teams and what MC, CB and the coaching team have achieved in the last few years.

OP is talking about today's game. You jump in with the thank the Lord we have a club bs. Yeah, it'd great we're fifth, it's a good achievement, but TODAY we played rubbish, today we under achieved.

You are so funny, you're not exactly a positive thinker from your previous posts on several threads.
If you have the opinion that I'm talking BS, then congratulations, some people and I included yourself need to look at the bigger picture, not just one disappointing result?
Maybe this is why we can't get the floating fans back, because the grim reaper is only one game away, in posters like you.

This.

This also chissitt.
Saints got their tactics spot on, and played fast passing and went round us.
No complaints from me, we're a good team and if on our game will cause any team bother. But we are still learning, and when shown the video of the game will see the mistakes and hopefully learn from them.

Saints were the better team today. Their mentality was totally different to ours, a loss today and their season was probably over and they would have had a mountain to climb to make the top four and that reflected in the way they played the game today.
We played like a team looking to lose by less than 14.

Luckily we have not played like that all season. But got a real wake up call today.
