We need atleast 2 big props if Hirst does go and that's a concern as it's an area this year we've been strongest I've known in depth and performance.

As for Hasson he has made a few errors on impact which makes me think he's more of a second row than a prop on first look. We can't judge him fully on just two stints. And he was solid against Leeds.

I actually think we are in a luxurious position in the front row.

We have Fifita and England who both look to be kicking on.

Huby has had a few injuries but again a very useful player.

I see no obvious reason why we wouldn't re-sign Hirst other than money.

Balwinson is potentially a very good aquisition

Hasson, pure speculator really but assuming he shows his value.

Arone is best at LF no doubt but he can play prop if needed. Even Anakin does a half decent job at prop.

That's 7 potential props.

So rather than two props, lets for once enjoy the luxury of signing a player on ability rather than versatility.

FWIW I'd look for another top notch prop rather than two half decent ones. Just my opinion but it's paid off with Huby, England and Fifita.

I also think two hookers will make a big difference. When Woody gets tired we lose momentum and the props don't get the rest from those valuable scampers.

Dont think that you can count both Walkers, one effectively replaced the other, even though he was subsequently suspended and Baldwinson replaces one of them.
Still need a couple of replacements though.

So back to Randell.
Hope he plays against Sts.
Hadley wasn't bad at hooker but I prefer him in his natural position and when he plays others try to help and we get errors.
Needs a dominant hooker to take over. TR is arriving at the perfect time.

I seem to remember Fifita wasn't making first team either but he seems OK to me.

Lets give him a chance and not write him off before he pulls on a shirt for us.

Ben Jeffries and Sam Obst only played about 35 games between them for their respective clubs before coming over. They went on to carve out good super league careers, mainly with us.

Also Matt Parcell I think, only played about 20 games in the NRL.

Dont buy into this they are reserve grade, and won't be any good all the time.

This is 100% correct.

An old saying in boxing "styles make fights" some players are better suited to SL than the NRL, those that watch the NRL will see it is a very different sport to the game in the UK with different pressures inside and outside the game.

Some players are better in SL. Parcell is a great example of that. From what I have seen of Randall he will be one of those players who I feel is suitedbetter to SL and who has the potential to thrive in the differences he will be presented with.

He's played 44 NRL games since late 2014, NRL is a much higher standard than SL to my mind.
He's only 24 years old, i think he will develop into a fine, first class SL hooker. Give the bloke a chance.
