I think MC might have been smart enough to see this one coming.
If this matter is in the hands of solicitors, with the club still awaiting legal advice, there's no response going to come quick! Glaciers move quicker than solicitors.

As you say a lot will be down to the small print. As for the second part it will i guess depend on what the plans for the ‘Trinity-less’ community stadium are. If all of a sudden the lack of the need for a shiny new build means it becomes the current structure with a bit of a spruce up then it opens up a loophole that 88M seem to be all over.

Should "commercially sensitive" information be in the public domain ?
Usually this kind of stuff would be kept between tenant and landlord. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

All the people with money's to make, turning the screw now. There needs to be a strong and clear statement from the club soon. Although Yorkcourt have almost been forgotten about in this whole saga, it seams.

But Wakefield College need somewhere central and not too expensive for some sporting facilities, 88M need a major tennant for their community facilities. Bingo!

The council and college are pushing for Wakefield to become a university city but the college need funds to make it happen. They are sat on some prime real eastate at Thornes Park that could be sold. 88M like buying land if the price is right and would be willing to strike a low rental deal for a lower purchse price. Bingo!

Council waves through whatever planning permission is required by 88M on that site, in the meantime the PP at Newmarket has lapsed, Trinity have turned down the chance of remaining in the city and weakened its hand, and Yorkcourt apply for a change to the section 106 as it is no longer deemed relevent to the current situation. If that fails then the stadium still never gets built and in all likelihood the land returns to greenbelt that was previously and just the brownfield land is developed. Bingo!

All coming together nicely for everyone but the club who are up one of those infamous creeks.
