TRB, FIL and I were all in the same class at school, born 1965 so missed the glory years and too young for the watersplash final. Throughout the 70's we had a few near misses in semi finals then cracked it in '79 when I could finally go to Wembley having been promised it by my dad. Alas it wasn't to be and but for a Yorkshire Cup win v Sheffield we've all been starved of success throughout our lives. I'm sure they'll both agree with me we're long long overdue a visit to a major final and after last year when we were so close I sense we're getting closer and I'm really buzzing at the prospects of our current squad. The most wonderful thing for me would be for me to take my boy to Wembley and though my dad is in his 70's now, for him to be there too. Despite the lack of success we still all love the club, it is in your blood, your hearts, your family's bond. My cousin who was brought up a massive Trinity fan now travels to watch St Helens from her Wakefield home, I could never envisage doing that. No matter we've been starved of success you still look forward every year and live in hope that this will be the year when we finally hit the jackpot again.
