Silly thread this, it's fundamentally a show game. When played over here the SL team often wins when played over there the I'd expect the NRL team to win.

The NRL is a better comp and it showed but it doesn't devalue SL which is also a great completion in ta own right, we should celebrate that imho.

When did I say super league wasn’t a great comp? I wanted to know if anyone thought it would effect their league performance. It’s created a discussion which the forum is in place to do, doesn’t need to be labelled as silly because you disagree with it.

It was the discussion rather than you I was referring too. It happens every year over what's a fairly meaningless game. You'll get over it soon enough.

I look forward to the day when we can play in a fairly meaningless game like the world club championship, now that would take some getting over.

A different thread title might have made me look forward to watching the game after work this evening. "Difference in class" really killed off any hopes of a decent game to watch. Cheers.

In the context of SL, its pretty meaningless imo.
I'd like to see Wakey play an NRL club in the same way I'd like to see them play the Kangaroos, its an interesting event but that's it.
I get the impression Leeds would rather not have played this game, which is I think is the right attitude, but I guess they're just towing the party line.

I meant a meaningless game regarding the difference between SL and the NRL especially the time of year it's played. Clearly I'd love us to be in it but don't let that stop you from being typically over literal.
