Is it your opinion that those players are better than Ashurst in which case I don't think you could be more wrong in some cases.
Or are you just re-saying what I assume to be Wayne Bennetts opinion?
As far as I'm concerned Ashurst has been unlucky, however he plays in one of the few position where SL hasn't struggled to produce. I could certainly pick at least a dozen British players who are up there with Matty or close and all of whom wouldn't weaken the England team.
All Matty can do is carry on with us in the hope of finding the next level, one where he can't be ignored - he certainly has it in him imho.
