Disappointing - but not unexpected; it's clear that TJ has done what he needed to do in terms of impressing the coach, but it's hard to argue with Makinson - he's a cracking player, and perhaps has more of the attributes that Bennett thinks will be required to beat NZ. He certainly returns the ball with more threat, and is probably a better defender right now.
No doubt that TJ will be a future international - he's made sure of that with his debut.
Nail on head and what has Makinson done to deserve being dropped, just imaging the furore on here if it was the other way round.
As for going to see England, or not, any test against the Kiwis is a great game and with their "lost" players coming back, this will be a tight series and well worth £25, whether Trinity players feature or not.
I was lucky enough to be at Leigh for Johnstones debut and he couldn't have done any more to stake his claim for a place against the Kiwis but, his time will definitely come.
He's a class athelete and excellent RL player and it will be a privilege to see him rip the worlds best to pieces.
Be patient folks and enjoy it when it happens.
