Dull as dishwater for me at least the game went quicker but accepting it was the first run out in the league it was typically Aussie orientated around defence a total borefest!

Brave move by Holbrook to leave Richardson out but it paid off - Fages had a stormer and didn't let Greenwood get into the game.

Its early days and I think Saints tailored their game plan to get a win, which sucked all the invention out of the game, this can't be an average league game for 2019, its just a Sts Wigan thing hopefully.

To say Lam said he was going to play a more expansive game that was very poor from Wigan. 1 barge over and 1 interception didn't impress me. I really rate their 2 centres but they never get a look in from Williams. Didn't use Hardaker in a link up role, he ended up going to first receiver to try and get some ball.
