Agree with most of what has been said. Randell is solid defensively which i think goes unnoticed sometimes and also I think it works well spelling him and Woody. If the money was right i'd probably be offering him another contract but him leaving and freeing up a quota spot certainly wouldn't be the end of the world. Annakin - again i would keep if the money was right. Solid squad player you know if he comes in he won't let anyone down. I reckon this time he may go part time and find another job as rumored before, presuming the money is better for him. Pauli we really should keep. Invaluable having a second rower who pitches in with tries and also draws so many defenders. Hampshire has also been mentioned and i would hope we are in discussions over a longer term contract with him. Can cover halves well and has played well at full back. Jowitt is a solid back up/competition for fullback. Hooley also can't be far from being ready for the first team who can play fullback/halfback i believe? With these options will Reynolds have many opportunities? Maybe look to move him on to free up some funds.
You're probably right on the Randell situation, I was purely thinking from a Quota perspective.
I for one am happy to leave all this speculation on one side, I feel distinctly uncomfortable talking about people as if they were no more than assets to be disposed of when they are finished with.
I reckon this must be the hardest part of managing a professional sports team, in such an environment they are more like family than colleagues. Many players suffer psychologically when they leave a team they feel a part of, or when they leave the game - I hope any player who leaves our club knows that their efforts have been appreciated by us fans. There are, of course, exceptions to this - players who haven't had the bottle a club like ours needs - but even they deserve some respect. Except Mc...
I do have some sympathy in your views and find it difficult not to agree with what you are saying. But in the interest of fairness and balance, you must also remember that players employ agents who can be equally as mercenary.
Having said that I will not go down the list but just say, Fifita and Hampshire must be the out and out priorities and leave the rest for others to decide.

I don't think anyone is really disrespectful in their comments about players. It's merely a discussion and exchange of thoughts about the contribution players have made and would make if they were retained. All done in the knowledge, of course, that MC and CC won't take a blind bit of notice about what we experts say!

I like Hampshire and he should be re-signed if possible. I say that, because wasn't he the one that only wanted a one year deal? I know a few on here commented on his commitment at the time but perhaps he's ready for a longer contract now?
I agree PB. Fifita and Rocky are priority. Releasing a player or two releases funds for re distribution. There are better men than me in charge who will be 100% on the case. I am sure the bulk of the squad will be kept together. Annakin and Baldwinson haven't featured much. Reynolds has potential and will probably get a run or two later in the season.
I'm surprised anyone wants to let Randell go if we are to operate 2 9's For me, they compliment each other and can change a game simply because their strengths are so different. Couple of game changers there but in different areas of the game, I like the options both of them together allow...

I just think there are other hookers out there, who probably won't be on as much and wont take up a quota spot.
Liam Hood is in fine form at the moment and I hope nobody takes this as a joke but I would've 100% take a punt if he hadn't already signed for Leigh. He's a hell of a defender and he seems to have improved going forward also. I think the point I'm trying to make is unless the money is right, I don't see Randell as irreplaceable...

Who are these hookers which you have failed to mention who you think are out there, and who you think won't be on as much money, and more importantly won't take up a quota spot, I bet there's loads of them the problem is will they enhance the team.
