I doff my cap to him for his efforts but i think it’s daft as its a major risk to one of our prized assets . With that type of injury he just has to get his foot in an slightly awkward position in a tackle (one that wouldn’t normally cause a problem) and major damage can be done. The fact that he is doing it shows how desperate things have become.

Also he managed it against Wigan after not playing for a while and Saints will be after a fortnight off. We now have 6 games week on week. Will it stand up to that and will it affect him so much as to he ends up being a bit if a passenger anyway? Teams will definitely target him.

But for me, we have to rest him against Saints and save him for later games that we actually stand a chance of winning, rather than risking him doing more damage and not being fit to play in the later games.

Now I love big Dave, he's our talisman and spiritual leader. He's brave but maybe not wise to put his hand u to play. He needs to be a 100% or near to be effective. Hobbling around on one foot refusing to come off will do us little good.

Time for the other forwards to step up - they should be embarrassed he has to do this.

Could there be an elephant in the room?

After Fifta signed his extension could there be some players thinking “Well he is on x amount and I’m only on ...amount, let him go out and earn it!”

Or, perhaps they thought, it’s up to me to improve my game and earns better contract. Depends how professional the players are.

He has put his hand up to play that is a great gesture and tells you much about the guy.

However if the coach is prepared to play him knowing that he is injured that's something else.

The board should be ashamed letting an injured player play, because he's one of the 2 players with any spark in the side. He can't do it himself. I think the board ought to look at this seriously & look at the problems we have & sort them out quickly. but thinking about it they don't seem capable of making the right decision at the moment

If he can play he should, could be the difference in staying up or going down.

No way will wakey go down in my opinion. Yes you’ve looked poor the last couple of weeks/months, but a win is always just around the corner & I just don’t see London getting the required points.
