For me the flats should be the last change.
They work fine.

The other sides have crumbling concrete and a good but old wooden stand.

Would be great to have a new east stand with more professional entrance and hospitality.
But to do the full stand mat be tough so a stand on the other side would be good, much like the original one with good space for coaches and TV.

East Stand is obviously first.

That's where the new offices, corporate and hospitality will be. It's the bit of the stadium that will generate income on more than just match days.

Then not sure...

We shouldn't be giving a side over to away fans in a new development. Something like the stand at Salford seems sensible. So Benidorm flats to go after the East Stand?

Then Western Terrace...then North Stand?

I'm not getting ahead of myself, before anyone says owt...just thinking aloud. I know this is all a long way off.

This.

No point replacing something ( other than not looking aesthetically pleasing ) that’s ultimately like for like. You could convert it into a multi purpose gym and physio for the club, analysis/video rooms etc. Whilst utilising the space within the new east Stand to gain non match day revenue, ie nhs centre in the halliwell Jones. Like pop tart says there’s other priorities than replacing the newest part of the stadium as it is

Article in today’s LE, John Minards states “had a reasonable.response to the fans survey for East Stand. Planning and funding obstacles to overcome, but hoping to secure them both in next few months. More announcements within next 2 months.Looking to have more seats and facilities.

I don’t think we should be looking to buy older buildings for Belle Vue.

I can understand the East stand being done first, but surely after that the West terrace should be priority, it's a total eyesore and should accommodate more fans than it presently does.

I agree, but money is King and Coral is pretty much new.

I doubt it would work...but as it's a forum, I thought it worthy of a bit of chat.

Agree. May need to be uncovered due to modern height restrictions and the necessary camera angles, but yes, must fo better.

Agreed and then we can put Wakefield fans down the side to help the referee with every offside, forward pass and knock on. Put the away fans behind the post like they do to us

Absolutely, that’s the reason for my post. Just want to get a bit of debating going.

I posted this a couple of weeks ago, on update thread.

I was told a few weeks ago that plans for the redevelopment had already been drawn up. The intention was to erect a temporary stand on the West terrace and using seats from the east stand. The East stand to be demolished around May next season and work starting on the new East stand immediately, for completion at the start of 2021 season. I have not posted this before now because although the information came from a reliable source, I didn’t want to raise fans expectations. I hope now with the consultation being offered for the East Stand there’s some hope of information being released by the club/trust. We all live in hope.

I forgot to mention that it was hoped to move the pitch appropriately ten meters towards the east side to allow room to increase the height of the West stand. All down to planning permission at the end of the day.
