Looks like we are on Sky,Friday the 13th. i'm not myself superstitious, but the omens are very ominous. i predicted this outcome some 10 weeks or so ago on here, that Sky would love the Wakey v London game as the "£1 Million game" How the French Connection UK have we finished up in a position like this. We have to win no ifs or buts. Can't rely on Salford beating HKR or Catalans [highly unlikely] to beat Huddersfield.
With the run in that we had and considering our shocking form of 10 weeks ago, I dont think that you can claim the psychic of the year award. As you say, Trinity v London looked like being the relegation decider a while ago but, I'm not sure that it rests on this game, especially for us. For KR to get done in the last couple of minutes of their game against London will be a right kick in the gonads and with a very difficult fixture away at Salford, they should be the most nervous side of the 4 relegation contenders and on the flip side, London, who have done us twice already, will really fancy their chances. I honestly believe that we will have to rely on Huddersfield or KR losing to stay up, which is going to make for a very tense evening and just on a side note, surely the 3 critical fixtures should be played at the same time ?? Although KR are fighting for their lives, Salford are actually in a position to gain 2nd spot, so, at least they will be "going for it".
WE have to hope that our improved form can see us over the line and if not, pray that at least one of the other results goes our way.

Come on Trin !
Wrencat, my prediction was that SKY TV would love the Wakey v London game to be the £1 million game. Looks like they got what they wanted !

You still dont get any "mystic meg" points as this too was inevitable. At least all the games are being played at the same time, although this probably means that Catalan wont even have boarded the plane, let along go off it in the right fame of mind to win a RL game

If we were still in the pre HKR match form I would be confident of defeat come Friday, but we aren't.We seem to have got over the slump, and the team, to a man, gave a marvellous performance in Hull, they gave in-form Wigan a good run for their money, and by all accounts acquitted themselves well at Warrington. What would disturb me big time is if Escare plays full back.I like what he brings going forward, but to me he can either win a game or lose it.He either ignores the bomb or looks shaky under it, and with Abdul targeting him I would fear the worst. At this stage I would have rocky at FB,failing that bring in Max.As an aside I wonder why this sudden love-in with Horo. He did play a bit better in the later games but overall thought he was barely average.
I don't know what went on behind the scenes at all, but you can't end a contract by "mutual agreement" if one side doesn't want to, so you can only assume that Horo wanted to. For him, he loses out on the rest of his contractual payments (although there could have been compensation) but equally he doesn't have to turn up to training, do the community stuff, attend matches. Basically, he can enjoy his retirement, and he might be doing nothing more than enjoying his last summer in the UK with his mates before going home. But you can forget any nonsense about him being stiffed, because the contract was ended by "mutual agreement".
As for Friday, at least it's in our own hands, which is a plus. We have played well in the two games we didn't expect to win since the KR game. I'd rather be playing London at home than Salford away to stay up.
