Plus, with promotion not having been a certainty until last season, we do still seem to be favourites to play any promoted side on the first game of the season.
Maybe it's tricks of the memory but, didn't we definitely played Widnes first after their promotion - I can remember all the coaches lined up at BV and I recall playing KR first when they cam up.
In a 12 team comp, I think that we are beating the "average" for these things, by a distance.
It would be a great quiz question to ask which sides have been promoted from the Championship during the SL era ?
