Could be a interesting season,Know Mr Carter said one of the reasons why Salford were successful last season was down to squad builder, and they are giving it a go at Wakefield.10 £ a month but you get the 2£ magazine free,.All money will go to make the first team stronger,eg bringing in overseas players.
There was no reason that Saford got to the GF other than in that particular year it all came together for them, those looking for an answer as to how to prepare for success from Salfords excellent effort last year are barking up the wrong tree IMO.
There have been a few posters on here who have attempted (in hindsight) to suggest that Watson is a coaching genius and that Salfords team building was second to none. Utter rubbish of course. You see much as I dig I can't find anyone other than the most optimistic of Salford fans predicting anything other than a disaster for the Red Devils this time last year, certainly none of the end of season experts on these forums.
What Salford does teach us is that these days almost any team can turn the previous years form on its head, making a prediction from anyone, even the likes of GS look like what they are, a massive stab in the dark.
TBF on GS he's basically stating which team he thinks looks the most competitive for the start of the 2020 season rather than who he thinks will actually win it. However, it's purely subjective, based on the opinions of a man who nowadays has no more to do with RL players and teams on a daily basis than the rest of us.
The only predictions that would really interest me and carry some serious weight are those of the 12 SL coaches and their staff. They, of course, aren't saying, after all, they are not that stupid.
