Didn’t think there was much in it to be honest...if he’d have brought Currie down maybe so, but just think the quick stop and change in direction was more a factor.
On the set restarts, agree with many that they don’t seem to be being applied fairly at the minute...it seems to have worked well in the NRL but it’s still open to question...the one on Hughes was an absolute joke, on the 4th/5th tackle on our line and ultimately led to another set they scored from.
Our first one was given inside our own 20 on the first tackle, so how is that beneficial? Under the old ruling we’d have got a penalty and been able to kick to touch and possibly start a new set in the opposition half...under these rules its beneficial to slow the play on the first tackle...
Against Catalans the other week it took 68 minutes for us to get a set restart!
