Sorry we are paying the price ,for what we brought in this season .Chester said after last season after all the injuries we can not let it happen again ,We ad brought in Green and the lad from Halifax, for last 5 games ,Tanginoa was in the second row and the pack was playing well for last 5 games .On paper it looks a strong squad but there are a lot who are past playing in the S L .And when you think we have got 4 fullback but can not get quality at 7 and 9 I said quality at 9 K Wood to old now to play the full 80..you can see why fans with out tinted glasses are worried. One way out is sale one off the better players we have and try to get a good 7 .

I'd accept Brough hasn't quite worked because of injury and getting old but there was little else for us at the time.
I also partly agree about Wood. I like him a lot but if we had a McShane type player it would take pressure off half back.
The problem is Miller, Hampshire and Wood have a similar game. With a young fit Brough or Finn that would work really well but without him it shows flaws. Jowitt is not that guy yet and Woods isn't there as the organising Hooker. Both I'm sure will improve but we really need it now or at least for start of next season.

No. What we agree on is that the squad is one of the best we've assembled.... But the team able to play on the field is not.

Yet on my first post in the ‘Chester Out’ thread, I illustrated that we had players available for the Warrington game which would allow Chester to pick an almost identical team to that which beat Warrington 18-8. Apart from those who played in that winning side he also had King, Fifita & Crowther available plus Innes Senior and Academy players like Croft etc

Wood has never been an 80 minute player at hooker, it has nothing to do with his age. Which is why we have always had perfectly capable hookers to compliment him at the club in the shape of Randall and Josh Wood etc.

Got to say though at times I do question the balance of the squad and how we recruit heavily in certain positions when from the outside looking in the money would be better spent in other positions.

We could give Randall as an example of a player starting on fire only to fade away after injury and a prolonged period in our coaching setup. I know I am picking on Chester again but I am afraid the buck stops with him.

In answer to those who side on excuses - I asked the questions to point out an outcome of the club & team continue with no changes ! I am not against Chester & certainly not MC, & I respect all the players as people + what they have done to date.
But all of this does not change the huge possibility of my original points, we are declining fast & we have no signs of arresting the situation. Time at present is on our side but as that time passes my original points of issue will kick in !
I do however prefer to be wrong !!!
So I do hope we makes changes some where however painful.

They are not excuses though, they are facts. In fact our injury crisis is one of the few things posted on here that is factually correct. Fact!!!

Who are we missing on the actual injury front Johnson, BJB, Arundel and Kershaw but we have brought in Kay and Gigot. The loss of two players from the recognised first team does not constitute a crisis but I am prepared to be proven wrong.

Both of who then had to miss a game. Catch up Scarlet.

You are just getting silly now. Unless Chester kicked him in the knee at training I don't think you can blame him.
