He was wayne! he wanted a 2 year deal we offered 1 year ! His mum and dad did ok thow got fed and watered on the club

I like this signing, always seems to put a shift in and is capable at this level, don't really get the comments re King, I rate him but we would hardly miss him he has hardly played and when he had he doesnt seem to have hit his straps.

Well if you’re looking for a player with character and guts (in both senses) he’s your man. We need strong characters at the moment who lead by example. With Kirmo past it, Brough gone and Fifita Playing silly beggars we are short of those.

Don’t let the pub team player appearance mislead anyone, this lad can play. Sort of a prop version of Finn. He’s one of those players who defies what a Modern RL player is supposed to be.

To be honest it’s a great signing if true and to be double honest I’d totally forgotten about him after raving about him last year doh.

I hope they don’t think he can replace Fifita because he cannot. He is only on loan from London until the end of the season so it will have been several months since he last played. I presume he will need to go through certain virus protocols before he can enter the team bubble. He will then need to regain an element of match fitness, how long this takes depends on what condition he arrives at the club. He is also contracted to London for next season so would probably cost us money to sign him for next season, something we do not do.

We are desperate!

However Battye outplayed Fifita all last season including head to head I’m assuming though I can’t recall if Fifita played in those games.

Calling Battye an overweight pudding is a bit rich considering Dave is proud to claim he ate all the pies, pot and kettle to say the least.
