It depends on the view that he (Carter) is taking.
With relegation not being an issue this season, he may take the view that the survival of the club is the most thing for him to worry about. Equally, he may be waiting for Chester to make the decision himself, rather than sack him off, with a pay out.
The is also the major issue on who the club can afford and who is available to take over.
Dire as we are (and have been for some time) there will be plenty of things to consider and it's not just as easy as swinging the axe, even though it would "lance the boil" in the short term.
Are any of our coaching team capable of doing what Robinson has done at Huddersfield (3/3 as caretaker) ?
If not, there would need to be someone capable of coming in and doing a job in both the short and medium term.
In an ideal world, assuming that a change is to be made, now would be a good time but, who knows what is going on within the club.
The one certainty is that running any pro sports club or, amateur club, at the moment will be as tough a gig as there can be.
Every business, unless your making face masks or hand santiser, has major, major challenges at the moment and Chester may be the lease of the day to day worries.
Even IF we had a new coach, how on earth do you assemble a squad for next season with so many unknown in the equation ?
