Tallies up with what i’ve been hearing for a while, major size split in the camp. As the saying goes you can’t sack an entire playing squad but you can sack a coach. Sorry Chris but you have to go. If he won’t go of his own volition then Michael Carter, its time to do what as CEO it is your duty to do. And if you you would rather do what is right for Chris rather than the club then it’s time to following him out of the door as well.

Some on here have recently tried to reach out to MC given the performances since the restart. I reach out to all the players who take the field on Thursday against Shudds - if CC’s coaching really is the problem then....

1. in the first half put in a level of effort, commitment and performance to show us what you think about the fans and the red, white and blue.

2. in the second half put in a level of effort, commitment and performance to show us what you think about CC’s coaching.

Send the fans a clear message and we will get behind you.

If CC’s coaching is the issue then I and others who I attend games with will not renew our season tickets until a new head coach is announced and I would suggest others do the same – without players who are prepared to play for their coach and fans who do not financially back the club, there will be no club. For those who say I am no fan as this is no way to support the club - there wont be a damn club after next season if CC’s coaching is the problem and we don’t do something about it now – not in Super League anyway.

The players are professionals are they not. Irrespective of anything else they are being paid to do something I would have given everything to do , but sadly did not have the ability. There may be friction and dissatisfaction, but when they take the field they should remember that they are representing a community and fans who have paid good money to help pay their wages. Put differences aside and go out and give a performance on Thursday. Bloody hell by now the majority should have the ability and experience to do the basics well .

Chester is also paid by the club to be a coach maybe he should look at his own performances rather than trying to scatter the blame.

So it's a Star article so there is only so much you can take from that.
However, if true it has to be resolved. Either a clear the air meeting and resolution or a change of personnel.

If true... And I repeat that.... If true.... Then Chester hasn't got much value left and has to go.
However, if I were the new coach I'd look to get rid of the trouble causers who went to the press rather than do the best they can for the club.

There are only so many players it could be who can say they've been coached by a top coach previously.

Player revolts never work well for any club. All parties lose.

The only losers in this sorry saga are the fans once again, always has been and always will be .we are the ones who stick by the club when Through thick and thin and to be quite honest deserve better .Without our loyalty there wouldn’t be a club So we shouldn’t be treated like fools .All everyone wants on here is a team ,not world beaters but a team who go out and play to the best of their abilities and make the fans proud of their efforts every game .If there are tensions within the club and judging by our performances something is amiss please get it sorted ASAP ,we the fans do our bit now please do your bit and put a competitive team out on the field .

Chastising players rightly or wrongly through the press, has that ever worked?

Seriously duff move from Chester. Doesn’t matter how accurate the Star is, he lit the blue paper and it had to end in tears.

Tragic Trinity have returned.

I couldn't agree more here.

There is now no way back at a for Chester, and he needs to go.

If Carter isn't willing to make that call, then I feel that John Minards has to step in, and make that call for him, and as he his now a CEO, I think JM needs to have a serious heart to heart with MC. As he is a CEO, they are replaceable

The Daily Star articles were pretty accurate when they regularly broke news about the ground. Jeremy Cross has some good connections.

Agree with with the rest of what you say. Once you start publicly slating players the way Chester is you are done as a coach. If nothing is done it will fester like an open wound and infect the entire club.
