I seriously doubt any of those players are seriously injured, niggles at the most. As far as I’m aware we don’t have any major injuries, that may change on Sunday.

It’s forwards who really need game time. Ashurst tbf doesn’t have that many games left in him so not worth the risk. The only surprise is Battye so I assume he’s carrying a knock. Hampshire was carrying an injury last season so he may still be in rehab. I see no reason to risk our two most reliable strike players. I know you could say that about others but neither Jowitt or Johnstone have ever suffered with fitness issues (injuries yes).

Ironically when we trialled Olympic sprint medal winner Berwyn Jones back in the sixties he was announced in the programme as A Walker.
Couldn't be further from the truth.

Not saying players should be risked at all but it doesnt boad well when you have 5 players injured without a ball been kicked esp with our recent record
