I can’t believe Batch has only just turned 23 in April. Seems like he’s been around for a decade. He’s going to be hitting his prime years soon and I think he’s the natural replacement for one of Pitts/Ashurst.

His fitness certainly isn’t a problem from what I see.

Noticed Joe batchelor in the crowd at the game watching his brother. He’s a handy player.

I was looking through the out of contract list and his name was one that stood out for me with forwards out of contract.

What about Crowther if fit in the second row in a position that’s suits him for once ,might not have the full skill set of ashurst just yet ,but won’t let you down on the tackling front .

That was my thoughts too, be nice to see Jordy get a run in a position that he is more naturally accustomed to.

As I understand it, and clearly there are better people to confirm this, but he's a 13 who can play second row rather than the other way around.

That’s my understanding also. Plus I believe he injured his foot that put him out 4-6 weeks so don’t think he will be an option.

Best to go with a natural second rower in Batchelor.

Think JC is more of a squad player ,The difference is Batchelor brings more to the attack
