Certainly mopsey ,when I remember the Farrell years at Wigan they could hold themselves against the best in the world ,the British game as a whole seems to be deteriorating in front of my very eyes ,and it’s sad to see .I used to race home from work to watch the games on sky over the years but apathy is setting in for me I’m afraid watching mediocrity in a lot of our games .Even harder is getting the football mad grandkids now that England are on a role to get excited for the games .Super league and rugby league need to get round a table pronto and get something sorted for the future of our great game, as at this present time how things are going I fear for the future . Looking at that blues origin team we’ve no joy to look forward to in the World Cup either and that’s if we get that far . A fantastic product run by buffoons is how I see it .

I see Saints are complaining they can not come near to some of the contracts offered by other clubs these days, presumably they are referring to Shuds and HKR.
Our game always looks at the short term and that's resulted in a big drop in quality over the last few seasons.

if you go back to the franchise system we we’re supposed to get rid of the overseas players and develop our own but every body was breaking the rules with overseas players and kolpacck players. If you go back to first million pound game v cas we had something like 12 starting foreign players. Cas high most successful school in the country and produce no players, things are sadly in a mess. I spoke to someone at a recent amateur game up normy and they said that was in a complete mess. The game is on life support it seems

It's been one failure after another Mopsey..
No accountability and clubs self interest don't help.
I'm definitely loosing interest in the game in general and see nothing that my grandkids would be interested in
I have tried to get them down to watch a game but even my daughters lost any kind of interest.

The game is of course in trouble, same as every other business unless you are a big grocer or sell face masks.
The game has been 'on its knees' for decades according to some.

Sport success is always short term. If England win the Euros but fail to qualify for WC then everyone will forget and Southgate will be a crap manager.

But, just like is needed in all sport, even though success is short term, England football, as with RU World Cup 2003 squad, they were build over a long period, building from young lads.

We need to take advantage of all these young lads having to play SL before their time and get them in elite training to improve them to be the next Farrell or Sculthorpe.

It can be done...... Money would help, but a plan for success would be a start.

What a bunch of miserable moaning old buggers we have in Rugby League and on here. It would be fantastic for Trinity to have a team of British players with a sprinkling of others from overseas, other clubs too.It would take time to grow but international prospects would improve. If you have had enough. Jog on.

Somewhat puzzled about who makes the decissions, Super League administer SL, RFL, administer rugby league,
Now then, for the good of the game both parties are to join together @ sometime in the future ?
I am no fan of the governing body RFL, per say,
So, who is enacting these rules's, Lets be accurate who the he'll is doing this/these actions with no transparrency, it is this
Latter point that brings the game into disrepute, so they should be guilty as charged !!!!

Fans are jogging on and that’s why the games on its knees ,its not moaning but simple facts, the games as a spectacle is a shadow of its former self and needs to pull its head outa its rear real quick

With regards to Wigan, you only need to see which players they've signed in the last few years, they've mostly been former players who have come back from the NRL.
That shows there's not a lot about and money is tight.
