I wouldn’t go with Senior (a young lad with 20 or so SL apps to his name) at full back. The lads a winger so leave him there. I’d play the more experienced Kay plus he’s quick on his feet is Kay and seems to have a decent pair of hands to join the line on ocassion and try to create that overlap. Experience wins here imo and leave Senior on the wing where he’s familiar and svored two good try’s last week. Seems common sense to me.

The below other than Kay seems to be the best option to keep most players in their natural positions. Looking at it I think it’s pretty strong considering.

1. Kay
2. Senior
3. Greensmith
4. Lyne
5. Kershaw
6. Miller
7. Lino
8. Tanginoa
9. Walker
10. Arona
11. Ashurst
12. Pitts
13. Westerman

14. Bowes
15. Fifita
16. Battye
17. Batchelor

Could be that Milky and Kay are switched

While I get your thinking as miller once played a game there years ago I don’t see any reason to play 2 players out of position instead of 1 by letting Kay run at fb. Also we would yet again be splitting pivots and bringing in a fresh new partnership. Look what sort of form we were in early season when we had numerous combinations.

True, didn't spot no Arundel.

I'd swap Greensmith and Senior around. Senior has played more SL games at Centre and Greensmith has been playing really well on the wing, he's in the grove so I'd keep him there, but it's not a deal breaker.

It’s a possibility. I only said centre as I think other than playing a handful of games on the wing at Doncaster I think Greensmith has always played in centre. I think although Senior has played centre (once? Maybe for us) and did well I’m a big fan of trying to keep players in their natural positions where it’s not necessary to move them.

Either way I wish the lad best of luck on his debut (hopefully) big moment for the lad.

Presume you are fishing without a rod Vasty. :) :)

On the way out? Go and tell the dwellers on Wheldon Road - Cas are a team you haven`t beaten for 14 years. Can it be true? We must be told.

Although it feels like 14 years it actually 6 years, oh dear what a Wally you are.

I said the club not the team, I assume as long as you’re paying them they will perform. Hence the expression ‘god only knows’ or did you not pick up on that.

I’m only going on what your own fans are saying, and that is that financially you are stuffed. I’ve no axe to grind with Salford, just tell me where I’ve gone wrong. Not being able to afford the rent and almost certainly bring evicted next year doesn’t look good to me.

Well, congrats on beating the Cas academy.
Let's face it, if you hadn't beaten them, you'd have been the laughing stock of SL.
It's a pity you didn't bother to play us when you should have....

Salford are missing Watkins, Brown, Mossop, Taylor, Addy, Greenwood, Sarginson, Wells and Patton.

From what i remember the only player who's available now who wasn't for the original game is Joe Burgess.

I thought Patton had been dropped?

Unavailable for wakey are;

Backs : Jowitt, Johnstone, Tupou, Hampshire, Arundel, Walker and Croft.

Hooker: Wood and J. Wood.

Forwards : Crowther, Green.

I feel like I’ve missed one but you can pretty much make a competitive starting team almost out of that lol.

Although there’s a lot of strike power in the backs missing I actually look at the team and think it still looks good enough to do Salford.

If not for Cas playing a young and bashed up team against them last week they’ve flattered to deceive all season. I will be bitterly disappointed if we lose this one despite 11/12 unavailable players.

We cant be missing 3 centres and one of our regular 1st choice centres will be playing, so really can only have bill out of those 3
