Good luck to him. I just hope that he comes in and puts his own stamp on the way we play the game. I hope that we dump the "funnel up" game (ie. use our wingers to take the first carries into the oppositions forwards, then moan when they get injured a lot), and start to play a more expansive game.
For me, he needs to bring more to the role than just getting the players motivated and fitter. Throughout the Chester era I personally have seen no lack of effort or fitness, I know others will disagree. What i do see every week is a lack of a plan, a lack of smart plays, a lack of dummy runners, a lack of cut out passes, and a lack of contesting a high kick.
We have been playing a style that the top teams ditched years ago, and need to move on. Lets hope that Willie is the man to take us forward, he was always a player that played with flair himself, so it would be great if he can get us back playing that way.
