Not that unbelievable thanks to one word. Furlough.
When you consider the average 16% pay cut everyone took and we had virtually all our staff having 80% of their wages being paid by the government then our biggest outgoing by a long way was vastly reduced. Nicely managed definitely but i’d have expected nothing less from a man with the financial nous MC has.
Clubs like ours who don’t pay out rent for their ground will be the ones that come out of this best. We still though have the deferred £3 million mortgage to start paying in the not too distant future amongst other things so as good as it is the choppy waters are still around.
