Now I Know it’s off subject but I’ve just clocked a pic of bill along with 3 other players in their shorts promoting a nutrition company and his right knee looks really swollen compared to his left and has a huge lump on it . Now I’m defo no medical expert nor do I know if that’s the knee that he damaged but that to me doesn’t look too good . Now it may be aggravated due to training and nothing to worry about and I may be talking gobbledygook but I’ve had knee trouble/replacement and that’s one swollen knee .I Do hope we get to see bill sooner rather than later ,as a pick me up I still watch the old sky game at headingley where he was untouchable,super star on his day .

You have no idea when the photo was taken so its hardly cause for panic just yet.

I read that he, Croft and Kershaw will not be available for the start of the season.

Well it’s the latest pic to come out so it’s pretty recent . No panic at all just an observation, the club will have it all in hand I’m sure .

Kershaw was never going to be ready, medical impossibility and Croft was always highly unlikely. This is based on when they were injured and the injury itself.

Bills fitness has always been more unpredictable in that it’s not overly clear what it is. I think people are rightly concerned in his case due to the possible nature of his injuries (plural) and his age.

I hope he’s ok but sometimes you can’t beat nature I’m afraid. We shall see. It’s not that Bill being missing is the end of the world but he’s been a great servant and it’s a crap way to go out if he doesn’t recover at some point this season.

Heart like a lion and always gave his all or a club he genuinely loved. I remember in his last game he came onto the terraces to shake hands with supporters!
I think it's a great idea by Willie but hope they don't call Brent Todd or Jarrod Hickey!

I have a story about Bagnall and I have to say it still makes me wonder to this day.

I worked with a guy called Jeff Bagnall as opposed to Geoff but that's not the odd thing.

Jeff looked like a much older version of Geoff, he looked like his dad.

This Jeff was also a good scrum-half as a lad and was in Bradfords Colts side.

This Jeff emigrated to Australia a few years before Geoff was born, returning to the UK 5 years later.

This Jeff was a travelling salesman whilst living in Oz.

Just too many coincidences! Or at least far too many not to endlessly rib Jeff over his supposed love child.

He NEVER denied it (he did really)

Nonsense though it was I still think it was an uncanny set of coincidences.

I thought that story was worth telling, others may not

I've taken a look and to be honest I can't see anything, it's just a camera angle issue in my opinion. If anything it's Reece whose knee looks swollen, so no worries in my un-professional opinion.

The swollen leg may be a result of carrying Kallum Watkins in his pocket for the duration of that match against Leeds.

Geoff Bagnall will live long in my memory not just for the Yorkshire cup win … but for the way he and the rest of the team dismantled Leeds at Headingley in a famous 0 : 17 win
92 I think..

I remember that Leeds game well, great day out in the big city for the Trinity faithful. Best thing I can recall about Baggy was that the opposition fans hated him, we’ve not really had that many type of players in recent years, too clean cut for our own good at times.
