I'm still smarting from the Toronto fiasco. I managed to get a full refund on the flights but couldn't get a refund for the accommodation albeit the landlord of the apartment we booked has said that we can go whenever we want, but obviously it's not as simple as that
That's the difficulty going with Villas or independent letters, they don't have the luxury of relisting last minute and getting someone in. That extra couple of hundred quid is what they rely on, massive reason these big chains do so well because they know the holidaymakers will book based on the free cancellation and pay upon arrival. Difficult one!
Incidentally, is anyone planning to make the trip to Catalan and if so, what flights have you booked?
The popular one for many is the week in Lloret De Mar and jump on the bus up to Perpignan. I've flown into Carcassonne a few times as you can pick flights up for around £100 return if the dates are kind, a nice drive down to Perpignan too. That might be a good one for anyone looking to go to the Toulouse game as you get much cheaper flights and similarly only around an hour and a half away.
Agreed, I'm not best pleased with the French at present but with Macron in particular, a nasty little chancer. He's like Boris but without the comedy value or the ability to say sorry, Boris doesn't mean it but he's not so pompous that he doesn't think he should at least make an effort.
I'd rather spend my money in other nations I quite like the Greeks as they have been royally shafted by the EU.

I wouldn't rush to book Toulouse just yet as things are going pear-shaped for them before the season has even started...

Very interesting. Absolutely nothing to go on but should Toulouse not be able to field a side come the start of the season, are we going to see Fev/Leigh replace them?

We'd probably be in a similar position if players were given the same choice of vaccinate or leave.
It certainly gives a newly promoted side some additional headaches to begin their first SL campaign
