I don’t think he’s injured tbh. WP said some hard choices had to be made and I suspect last years players have gone well pre-season and he’s happy to run with them.
If that is the reason I’m absolutely delighted! At last a coach who isn’t blinded by the NRL tag. Far to often these players just walk in without having to prove themselves or wait their turn like British players do.
Let’s be honest our pack did well under WP and every player picked deserves a run in my book. Whitbread looked useful in the friendlies but nothing more. Nothing wrong with that but it wasn’t enough to dislodge the existing players.
His time will come and he will be all the better for it imho.
