Reservist at a guess. Not to be confused with the TA.
Think this was how it worked with others, if he leaves the service fully, it would not be long before Priti sends hime 'Home'. Similar to these guys who only got the right to remain because of mismanagement.

Wow. Don't let your prejudices obscure your view, will you.
"Priti" won't be sending him anywhere - he's English.
His father is Fijian.
I assume you are using "Priti" as a coverall for ALL the Foreign Secs who have failed to give residency to our overseas service members, such as the Ghurkas, including the ones from previous Labour governments.

It's amazing how many people, usually lefties or Trump-style populists who do this. It's insulting as they seem to assume some of us are not smart enough to check facts before swallowing their nonsense. Same people who post made-up club stories on her.

As far as I'm aware you can't leave the Army in a part-time way, you either leave after your enlistment period is over or sign on again. The only way you can remain part of the Army without being on active service is to join the Reserve list. The TA is a separate enlistment.
Very little to do with Priti Patel and the Home Office, of which she is the Minister but the MOD and the Army, neither of which she controls.

The Army Reserve is the active-duty volunteer reserve force of the British Army. It is separate from the Regular Reserve whose members are ex-Regular personnel who retain a statutory liability for service. The Army Reserve was known as the Territorial Force from 1908 to 1921, the Territorial Army (TA) from 1921 to 1967, the Territorial and Army Volunteer Reserve (TAVR) from 1967 to 1979, and again the Territorial Army (TA) from 1979 to 2014. The TA no longer exists it’s all under the title reserves The home sec is responsible for the safety of the country ect she reports to boris the military is controlled by the defence secretary who also reports to boris the forces currently working in the nhs would be requested the HS .

Think you are missing the point spectacularly, whilst in the army protected from removal as he doing a contracted job, if he leaves he is nothing to do with army - therefore his citizenship comes into question, making him liable to removal, which is HO
