Have we heard about Miller yet?
I'm assuming he is missing as he failed his head assessment but not heard anything.
If he was fit he'd be no.1 for me.

I may be wrong but I thought it was protocol for a player going off with concussion to automatically miss the next game (assuming, of course, it's only a week after) ?

I think it is 11 days following a failed test, so will not be available Friday.

This has been a rubbish start to the season!
The injuries are bad enough and we've had more than our fair share of them, but two suspensions make matters worse.
There's no real wonder that we're winless so far!

Not going to be a popular opinion this but I thought he was lucky to stay on the field, I know one ex ref from Wakefield who would have red carded him and sent to the changing rooms with an angry lecture in his ear!

Two matches is about right for me for that incident.
Before everyone goes off on one, I like Max, he’s a great lad from a top family and that sort of maliciousness isn’t part of his game but it was a bad collision with his knees into the back of a defenceless opponent.

It does leave the team with a problem as there’s no natural replacement available so I’m going to throw one in from left field. Tom Johnstone has spoken in the past about playing full back so in the absence of any other better options why don’t we see how he goes.

I watched the replay and freeze framed it. Jowitts knees were no where close to the players back. Jowitt shot past the face of Newman who got tackled and dropped to the ground.

I do agree about Max on all counts. He didn't need to do it and it cost us.

Not sure about TJ. If you moved him you have to find a winger to replace and to be honest, if he wants his England spot he needs to be on the wing.
He'll hopefully have a real centre who can give him good ball so I'd leave him and play to him as much as possible.
Army Dave might play I suppose.

Butterworth played A team at full back. I'd rather he stepped up then move lots of players to accommodate FB.

You’re correct it was knees to the head not back, should have viewed it again before posting but just went off my initial reaction when watching the game live.

Either way my point remains!

Thought crossed my mind many a time. He could be lethal from that position, but it's very much unchartered waters.
