The extra two days rest is a big advantage for Cas in short turnaround games…both will be a bit deflated being knocked out of the cup but overall there seems to be a better feel good factor around us at present so hopefully that can see us home?
Unsure on the knocks we picked up? Can’t remember Pitt’s coming back on so did he fail his HIA? He’ll miss the next two if he did?
Looked like Jowitt was limping at the end too.
No point risking players carrying knocks on a short turnaround so if those two don’t make it we’ve still got loads of options…if Millers back Gaskell could drop into full back. Pitt’s would be a big miss but there’s the option of Kelepi there or even Batch..
Might be a chance to freshen up and bring a few fringe players in for that added energy, especially in the forwards…Aydin, Adebiyi and Brad Walker all could come in…possibly rest Arona who I thought put a real shift in…also wonder if WP ‘looked after’ a few towards the back end with the game gone…Hood might well have come back on late if we were still in the game as he usually does but if I’m not mistaken he didn’t?
Two tough looking games but even Wigan on Monday you can’t write off as we’ll have that crucial extra day and they’ve a massive game Friday that could take a lot out of them…if we get the squad choices right we could come through well…
