No point comparing TJ and LM - they're both cracking players and I wish we had one on each wing but seems TJ has signed a 2-year contract at Catalans. His call, but we move on. Kershaw on one wing and Murhpy on the other won't be a bad wing pair.
I think Murphy probably has the edge on where Tom was at that age defensively and that tackle today was unbelievable!

I well remember TJ saying Brian Smith told Tom, you must learn " Juggling " to be a great winger - the ability to catch any ball/pass made
Whatever the quality of the pass that is made/sent to you + when having to make a return pass in tight or held positions " this will not only improve your game but it will make you a stand out player "
Would love to think LM would take this up ?????
However, I do think Lewis is the slightly better defender & reader in/on defence !

The thing i like about Murphy is not the fact he made a try saving tackle, but that he had the confidence to go for it.
So many would just give up as it looked a certain try.
The pain of losing TJ reduces every time I see Murphy play. I'm OK spending Tom's money elsewhere now.

Johnstone has done the business over what 6/7 years?! He's scored tries that make the mind boggle. At times he's been the one shining light in the darkness. For me he's the best pleayer we've had in the SL era. To say Murphy is a better player at this point is F mental in my opinon.

I agree. I'm full of praise for Murphy but Tom is special.
