And there are 5 Warrington players in the England squad ??
Desn't bode well for the World Cup, Aussie and NZ must be really scared, not.

I’m sorry but the England team is an embarrassment, Michael Mcilorum at 34 in it, Mike cooper at 34, Ryan hall 34 not to mention a boat load of Warrington players who have played gash all year. If that’s the best we can produce then genuinely god help us.

Regarding the England squad , I’m positive these are at best fringe players that are turning out for us this sat ,we will see a far stronger squad when the World Cup kicks off ,Wayne is certainly no dummy .Imo thinks it’s great that some of our players are in this game representing their respective country in a combined team ,I’m sure they will have jumped at the chance , and great to see the club allowing it .Going over on Sat with the wife n grandkids for the princely sum of £30 ( excluding the liquid GOLD to get me there n back) hope all concerned have a great game and come away unscathed .

The England team doesnt look the best but does have some great talent in there, also don’t forget there’s quite a few players to come in from the nrl

Luke Thompson
Both the Burgess Brothers
Sutton
Elliot whitehead
Gildart

Potentially farnworth who’s being playing amazing well and is very established in the broncos first team if he recovers from the bicep injury he just picked up

Dom young is getting some great reviews on the wing for Newcastle also

Sadly josh hodgson won’t be playing due to a ACL

Cant see us beating the Aussies but what else is new
I think Shaun Wayne will give his best shot and is the right man for the job

But any pack that has Walmsley and Thompson leading it will go well

There is some quality to come in to the England team but there are a number of players in that team who shouldn’t or wouldn’t be near a england shirt usually.

Josh Hodgson always underwhelms me on the international stage so that’s no great loss.

If we want to keep Dave happy he plays, on the podcast interview he clearly states he was gutted to miss it last year.

We owe him the chance tbf.

I agree there is talented English players in the NRL, with Farnworth the pick of the bunch for me for sure, Sutton and Whitehead being really solid too, but it’s a drop in the ocean with the players we have over here isn’t it. I just feel we have regressed sadly international while the Southern Hemisphere nations are just getting better and better. I try not to be negative when it comes to our national team as genuinely there’s no better feeling then beating Australia in a test, at this rate and as the last GB (England) tour showed, we are light years off, and if that team is the cream of the crop of English players over here, than it’s clear to see why we are.

If it's something he desperately wants to do, then fair enough....let's just hope he doesn't get injured

That very much sums up my feelings too on international rl
There’s so much talent in the nrl it’s near impossible for us now to beat the Aussies
It’s brilliant that the island nations have come on so well
It’s made international rugby something really amazing to watch and vastly more competitive

I just wish we could find a way to help england more

I think we’ve missed a massive opportunity to be part of the origin international weeks too and very much feel International rugby comes second to the clubs and it shouldn’t

Sport is about marginal gains
There is no doubt us having a proper regular mid season would help England but I would like to see it as a proper test, I’m pleased we are at least trying with the combined nations but you really get the feeling that’s all the clubs will allow

SL play so many more games than the NRL, including challenge cup and league that it makes it more difficult to implement a Yorkshire vs Lancashire series etc or more international tests. If you reach 300 games in the NRL it’s a massive achievement, where as over here it’s fairly common.
