I went and it was n ok game lads went well.bowden was too big and strong for the cas lads.kershaw looked good too did walk off with ice on his hand but didnt look in too much discomfort.think it was good to see mixture of few pros with reserves and few academy lads

That’s good news. Reading about Bowden it seems he has a very direct style which is what we need imho. Glad that Kershaw pulled through well.

Any of the younger lads impress?

Yes oli pratt and joe law did well but they all did there bit to be fair and to say there was some experienced lads in squad ythe youngsters got some good mins i know my lad did around 50-55 mins as a middle

That’s good then. Development of young players is important for the future. I think it’s the only way we can bridge the gap.

I’m glad we’re running these reserve fixtures and equally happy that we can give the Academy lads some game time against open age players, however let’s not get carried away with Linhams performance.

This is a Castleford Reserve side that lost 100 nil a few weeks ago
