I think we need to look above Poaching first.

Give it a rest.

The directors have stated all along that the coaching staff are in charge of all things player related and rightly so.

You can't have it all ways with your petty digs. The buck stops here with the coach and HIS team.

Grow up and join the real world.

By all accounts he also brought a great deal of hard discipline and that didnt go down too well with some. There is no doubt he set high standards and put good structures and foundations in place. I have no doubt that Chester with the help of Kear at his side, greatly benefited from the work of Brian Smith. After a while standards dropped things changed and Kear left. We then saw the true ability of Chestet as a coach.

.

I remember an interview on Sky what was introduced as an interview with Chester. When it came on there was Michael Carter in the forground and Chester sat behind over his right shoulder. The interviewer was only interested in rugby related matters and yet Chester hardly said a word and Carter took central stage. Anyone switching on and not knowing much about rugby would have assumed Carter was the Coach and Chester is assistant.

Now I am not saying you are wrong but quite often I have seen things that have given me a different interpretation

I saw a similar interview on the RL with James Deighton page on Facebook.

Agree regarding Brian Smith, and I do feel that's what's needed now, and if we were to get that sort of person, they need to be allowed, and left alone to do what is necessary, even if some of these players don't buy into it

Depends on the other options available. He was the wrong appointment and always was, an assistant throughout his career, but there has to be a credible alternative. In 2006, there was with Kear. In 2015, there was with Brian Smith.

In the absence of a credible alternative, and I don't mean someone else who fancies a go, I'd say stay put and see if he can produce what he did at the back end of last year, and at times this year.

Spot on I got shot down a few year ago by daddycool ,when Chester was bringing in is first set of set of bad signings because I said they were not S L standard .Any body who as watched R L for 68 year can see what is up with a team A Coach is some one who can see it and put it right B Smith could ,Kear new ,Chester did not

Unfortunately for Willie he may never get the chance to coach and bring his preferred players in and to stamp his authority on our club ,as time is running out fast for our super league status , and personally that would be criminal that Poching could be stuck for evermore with the mantel of the coach who took us down , when it’s plain for all to see that the damage was done well before his tenure ,and a few sticking plasters that he’s been afforded to him really aren’t going to propel us to anywhere near the mercenary fighting force that we all long for .I travel over on Sunday in hope that if all the T,s are crossed and the i,s are dotted then a Warrington esk performance will ensue and I’ll be singing from the rooftops on Clive Sullivan way later that day on my way home .

Sorry PB but I don't buy that at all and frankly. He's an accountant, I've chatted with him a fair bit now and he openly admits to knowing nothing more than your average fan (as opposed to us experts one here). We need to stop doing this, it's disgruntled players parents stuff and deflects from the truth stuff and it deflects. We have a poor coach and players with a poor attitude who are letting us all down and that includes the BOD.

If I were to make a comment it's that MC is too loyal and that he doesn't interfere as much as he should. Frankly I don't think we'd do much worse if he had picked the players himself.

To a point but that point has passed.
