For the record, I didn’t say he was a bad coach or that he wouldn’t go on to be a better coach than he currently is. In fact I suggested if he was to go cut his teeth as a Head coach in the Championship he could kick on and be a future SL coach

Yet we are meant to accept yours is 'informed', works both ways.

The reality is that whether you are right or wrong he turns out the perfect types of team for a club like ours and that includes the first team IMHO. Player development is a luxury we don't have and until we have the money required to pursue it then "a very tight format, players have a defined but restrictive job description" is exactly what we need.

It's funny but both Toppo, Kear and Chester were accused of similar yet they all had periods of success whilst rarely reaching the lows we have this season.

The truth is WP is probably technically a very good RL coach, when working with good players. Sadly he's working with a rag bag assortment at present and seems incapable of giving them "a very tight format, players have a defined but restrictive job description" which they need. He's expecting them to think for themselves, to self motivate and most of them just can't. Sadly he may just not be the right kind of coach for the current squad rather than being a poor coach. Unfortunately we don't have the time or the cash to allow him to rectify that.

If we do go down and we really do want to fight another day Applegarth or similar is exactly what we need.

It's abundantly clear our players need a well defined but limited role, I guess players at bottom clubs do as that way the the sum becomes greater than the parts. If/when we drop then we have an opportunity for both Applegarth to develop and for Trinity to test one if their own.

So i wont pretend to have first hand experience as i never played under him why would i but i know 1 lad who has been around him for 3 years now and doesnt have a bad word to say, now with that i can say i speak to alot of lads who again think hes great,secondly neglecting lads well i personally dont see it with mash, he gives everyone who deserves it opportunities,again i can only go on experience my lad is only on first year of academy and wasnt really expecting him to feature in academy much never mind reserves but here he is played in every academy games plus around 60% of reserve games i definitely wouldnt say hes in top team as you would say add to this he did somthing around 12 months ago to my lad which at the time did pee us off but it was the best thing ever to happen to him and reason hes doing ok now.
So with regards the informed protest as you put it whilst i dont know as much as some i go on what people say about him and the results he generates which for me positives, although everyo e are entitled to there opinions
