He isn't my first, or even 5th choice but he's a contracted player who plays in a position in which we may struggle.
I seem to remember you calling Willie out for playing Croft too but he's doing OK now.
Let's just give Willie the chance to rotate his team in a week with 3 games and see what happens.

Looks a strong team that and gives us a chance to look at Windrow, Shaw and Bowes.

Personally Croft has improved since his first game back in trinity. He has sorted his defensive weaknesses out and has been very good last few games. For me I’d be happy to sign him to rotate in at centre and push for a place. I’d be happy with Hall, Lyne, Gaskell and Croft as next years centres with maybe promoting a promising young centre to a full time contract (don’t we have a good once coming through or two?).

Why no Liam Kaye, he only did 20 mins on Thursday, yet immediately made an impact. He will be fit a fresh, best hooker at club , plus great utility value

If we loose it will be due to complacency. I think WP needs to convince the squad we are playing a full strength Saints team then we should win

Whilst a win would be “nice” it is not vital and so WP might want to look at who will be here next year.
Then those areas can be addressed over the close season.
Mr Woolf will be doing the same.

It would be nice to show off the Academy by naming the following team
