Just got back and the last 20 mins the lads where shocking got bullied a little but they where grubs.the ref in the last 15 mins absolutely caned wakey some deserved but alot not we just couldnt get hold of ball.and from where i was sat bradford got away with loads

Pretty much sums it up. 60 minutes of good work undone by I’ll discipline and a ref who got a bed in his bonnet with the trinity team.

That last 15-20 was just relentless defence. I found it funny with 1 minute to go and bulls drove it in on last and it appeared to be handover only for ref to blow for a high tackle which they duly evened up at 28-28 from. Both teams were at it round the ruck tbf but I think the ref lost his tag with trinity and it was one way after that.

Yes from sidlines it appeared like that they say refs dont decide games and as poor as we where ref decieded game tonight dont mind them making mistakes but i do them been inconsistent

How come it went to Golden Point? I thought this didn't apply to academy?

In regards next season the academy and reserves will now be playing more games and on the same weekend (this season its been alternately) so i think the club will need to bring a few bodies in i know somes weeks thers been 7 or 8 acad lads played for reserves.also think it may stop players going on loan

Whichever way you look at it both our academy and reserves have been competitive this season and I don’t think you can ask for more.

Results in both these comps are always secondary it’s performances that count and I think there have been plenty of those.

Plenty of names I’d never heard of pre-season now lodged in my memory bank. A good smattering of players who I think have the ability to make it, certainly more than for many years.

I’m very happy that the club now has some depth. Well done all.

Definitely, its nice to win but the improvement and development of players young lads is more important and there as been plenty of that inmy view.as a fan and as a parent im more than happy a months rest now then back in pre season ready for next year

Hats off to all.

RL at Academy level is hard work. The self discipline of these lads is astonishing, they are effectively giving up a fair chunk of their teenage years with no guarantee of reward.

I know that the BOD wishes they could retain far more but for now the money simply isn’t there. It’s the coaches call and most coaches opt for experience so it’s a very small window if opportunity for these lads.

Reserves even more so.

Yes sorry to say its true,my lad turned down the college course he really wanted to do due to it been based in cas and not been able to get to training knowing there only a very small chance it will prove to the best decision in the long run.only time will tell.
